Why so few dealers
The showroom requirement is the whole reason
Fleetwood requires its authorized dealers to keep a physical showroom. That is a real cost to carry, and it thins the field considerably. Plenty of companies will order you a premium window. Far fewer are authorized to sell this line, and fewer still anywhere near the Hill Country.
Ours is at 304 Main Street in Marble Falls, the same address the shop has worked out of since 1964.
What the line is for
Large openings, wide spans, and sightlines that matter
Fleetwood is aluminum, and aluminum is what lets a frame stay narrow while carrying a large piece of glass. That is the trade the line exists to make.
It earns the difference on openings where the glass is the point of the room. On a standard bedroom window it is money that buys you very little, and we will say so rather than sell up.
- Large-format sliding doors
- Moving glass walls
- Narrow-sightline aluminum windows
- Specified alongside the rest of the openings, so the sightlines match
How it goes
Specified by the people who install it
A Fleetwood opening is measured, ordered and installed by the same shop, so nobody is handing your job across a gap and hoping the numbers line up.
Because the line is made to order, the specification is the job. We would rather spend the extra hour on the drawings and the field measure than discover the problem on install day.
Seeing it
Glass is difficult to judge from a photograph
Sightline width, finish, and how a large panel actually moves in the hand are the things people change their mind about once they have seen them. That is the argument for a showroom, and it is presumably why Fleetwood insists on one.
Call the shop on (830) 693-2535 and we will tell you what is on the floor at 304 Main Street and arrange a time to come and look at it.
This was a small job and other companies I talked with would not come out or would charge a large fee just to look at the problem. Very pleased with the people and the service.

Questions
What people ask about Fleetwood
Why is Fleetwood so hard to find around here?
Fleetwood requires its authorized dealers to keep a physical showroom. That requirement thins the field, and it is why there are few dealers in Central Texas. Ours is at 304 Main Street.
Are you an actual authorized dealer, or can you just order it?
An authorized dealer. That is not a formality with this line, because the showroom requirement is part of what the authorization costs. If you are comparing us against somebody who says they can get Fleetwood, it is a fair question to ask them too.
When is Fleetwood the right answer, and when is it not?
It earns its cost where the openings are large, the spans are wide, or the sightlines are the point of the room. On a standard opening it is money you do not need to spend, and we carry an energy-efficient vinyl line for exactly that reason. We will tell you which one your house wants rather than quoting the higher number by default.
Can I see one before I commit to it?
That is what the showroom is for, and it is worth doing. Sightline width and finish are hard to judge from a photograph, and how a large panel moves is something people want to feel. Call the shop on (830) 693-2535 and we will arrange a time.
Do you install it, or does somebody else?
We do. The same shop measures, orders and installs, which matters more on a made-to-order line than on a stock window, because the specification and the install are the same piece of work.
How far will you come out for a Fleetwood job?
Fredericksburg to Georgetown, and most of the Hill Country in between. If you are near the edge of that range, call and ask.
