About

Sixty-two years at the same address

The Walker family opened the shop in 1964. It is still the same family, still at 304 Main Street, and still doing all things glass.

Most glass companies do not get to say this

A lot of trades in Central Texas are younger than the houses they work on. This one is not. The Walker family opened the shop in 1964 and the third generation runs it now, out of the same building on Main Street.

That is not nostalgia, and it is not a sales line. It is the reason a shower installed here in 2009 can be adjusted by the same company in 2026, and the reason a contractor who worked with the shop fifteen years ago is still calling the same number.

What that means for you

A company that is still here when the glass needs attention

Glass is one of the last things to go into a build and one of the first things anybody notices afterwards. A door that drifts, a hinge that needs resetting, a unit that fogs in its eighth year. Those are small jobs, and small jobs are exactly what a company disappears on.

Being at one address for six decades is the plainest evidence there is that somebody will pick up the phone. There is no branch office to be transferred to and no national scheduling line. The shop is on Main Street and the people who answer it are the people who did the work.

Then and now

Same family. Same address.

The original truck carried the address on its door. Six decades on, that is still where you will find the shop, and it is still the same family running it.

All things glass

One shop instead of three phone calls

Plenty of glass companies pick a lane. Shower doors only, or commercial only, or windows only. That is a reasonable way to run a business and it is a nuisance for whoever has a house or a building with more than one kind of glass in it.

This shop does the shower enclosure, the mirrors above the vanity, the window that fogged in the back bedroom, the wine room, the cabinet glass, and the storefront on the building downtown. Same company, same crew, one number to call.

Who we work for

Homeowners and contractors, and the work is not the same

Both get the same shop and the same crew. What changes is what you need from us.

  • Floating glass shelves on a wet bar in a Central Texas home.

    Homeowners

You want somebody to turn up when they said, measure properly, and tell you honestly whether you need the expensive answer or the cheap one. Most of what we do is the cheap one, and we will say so.

  • A single-story retail building with aluminum-framed storefront glazing wrapping both wings and a steel canopy over the central entry drive.

    Builders and contractors

You want glass that does not land on the punch list. That means field measuring the opening as built rather than as drawn, flagging a problem while it is still cheap to fix, and hitting the date we gave you.
